Well, ladies, this is the end of... something. Somewhen.  I've officially graduated from my lit/english school day before yesterday, and I got my examination results yesterday afternoon. Basically, I'm in the top 10/15% percent, which is unexpected but great, because even though it doesn't get me into the ENS (which would have been akin to a miracle, methinks), it's a free-way into whatever Uni course, double-course, exchange program, options/specializations, etc — anything I want.

dang, summer camps are one of the STAPLES OF CULTURE here in america! my brother's off to his first in a couple weeks, actually (me, i'm interning at a magazine 8D!)

I shall try~ the Sorbonne is a lovely place to study in — I've used the library many times already — and it's not too far away from home if I take the subway. <3 uni in France, heh, lessee — we have three years of License, except I've already served two years in my prep school so I'm really entering third year, and then two years of Master, and then you can go on to your thesis and possibly the Agregation exam if you so wish. You can be a student till thirty if you can manage it XD

One day, I will write Pirate!England. I don't know when. I just will. /loves England way too much

the main problem is, I'm in team canon, and my mind is swamped by AU scenarios. D:

Small classes. I’m not used to them either. This year was a 60-student class, next will be ten. Might take a while to adjust to.

(Also, so, um, basic response to teh fic:

• the stars are spinning: no, what, no. WHAT. You made me like an USUK fill. You made me want to write USUK. Which is just, okay, wtfruk for me, okay.

About USUK — I just… don’t like it? I don’t even dislike it, it just doesn’t do anything for me. Believe me, I tried. The only thing that made me go for it a little bit were these American Revolution doujinshi. And your beautiful ficcing. And even then — Are You There, etc, was hilarious and adorkable and sweet, but this is just a level highest — heart-breaking and heart-warming and oh god, that last part killed me.
