falling_voicesStarting from tomorrow onwards through to Saturday next, I will be engaged in taking the exams for the entrance to the École Normale Supérieure of France, in Cachan...
That means all the work I’ve been doing during the past two years is actually coming to its pinnacle this week.
It also means I’m scared shitless.
The worst part is probably that though I’ve been working more than I usually do during the last week, and the week before that, too, even though less so, anyway—I don’t feel like I’ve really been accomplishing much. I’ve still so much to do to be prepared, and I’m going to have to do it all the day before each exam. Which, if you ask me, sucks.
Also? I’ve lost my ID card some three weeks ago, probably in the street. I’ve been ordering a new one, obviously, but it takes two bloody months before it’s done, and I don’t have a passport either, since I’ve never travelled out of the European Union. And they ask for either an ID card or a passport to prove your identity when you take the exam. So I’ve spent all of last Wednesday and most of Thursday rampaging around Paris and trying to obtain papers that prove I’m my parents’ daughter, I am a student at my school, and I have signed up for taking the exams. I’ve got an entire folder full of them, and I still don’t know if I’ll be accepted, since it’s not exactly what they ask for.
Then again, I can’t very well accelerate the Administration’s processes, can I?
This sucks.
So I won’t be around much, I don’t think—I’ll be checking in my inbox and friends’ page, but that’s about it. If the exams’ questions are really scary, I might post a few samples and cry on your shoulders.
Till then, lassies, I’ll be working on my English vocabulary for tomorrow’s translation exam.

Gah, what a bitch they are...they should accept you!!! *frowns* I mean, it's not like you have nothing to prove it!!!
That's why I have two identities cards...the one that is like a little book (which I just leave it at home since that's the most important one and the one you need to leave the country) and a little one that has the size of a credit card which I carry with me in my wallet and if you loose it, it's easier to get a new one than the one that looks like a little book...and you'll never be without an ID card...
Don't worry hon, everything is going to be fine....you are very clever and awesome and you'll leave them astonished with your intelligence!!!! 8D Even if you feel like it's pouring on you right now, remember that rain doesn't last forever....and also, you always have someone to lend you an umbrella...;D

They've cut down the exam on Saturday to have it on Monday instead, which kind of sucks and wins at the same time. I wanted my weekend for myself, damnit! ... but on the other hand I'll be able to work on my philo some more and I'll actually be able to rest, which'll be nice enough.
I have the book-thing, too. Livret de famille, we call it—I'm taking that right now, it's going through it. /shrug
You know? I don't even know. I don't even know anymore. I mean, yes, I'm ace at English, I just—I know it, I'm the best in my class. That's cool, I like it. But everything else... I love English, I really do. Everything else is just, like, I like the classes, but I'd rather not take the exams for them. (Figures that I don't even have a choice anyway.)

heh...I know hon...I too love what I'm studying but I hate when they push me to draw like 20 desings for next week....but it's how things work...they make you climb this big mountain with the tools that you love and you just want to use those tools for whatever you like! Not to climb that stupid mountain...but still you have to... because that's part of life...*shrugs* just think that someday you'll finally climb it and then...and then you can look back at those bitches that made your climbing miserable and laugh and mock at them!!! >D

It was six hours long in a stuffy room with 700 other people and it was still awesome, which is just weird, if you ask me. But then the other exams are. So. Boring! So they have to split us up, but there are something like 12 examination rooms, and ours is the biggest, is all. It also makes it a lot more problematic when they have to pick up the essays and make sure none of us is still writing. *shrug* it takes a lot of military action.
Yeah, going to Belgium on Tuesday! my best friend lives there, she'll be putting me up for a few days.
