So — after the flurry of the Children in Need 2011 Special (suspenders!) and the trailer for the Christmas Special, now Moffat hands us four mini-sodes on a silver platter. I know not everyone follows [livejournal.com profile] doctorwho, so have links:

You might want to keep a handkerchief or two at hand.

Also, re: the Christmas special: FUCK YEAH, NARNIA. Oh boy, am I ever ready for this. I've been ready for this since I was seven years old.

"Where are we?"
"In a forest... in a box... in a sitting-room. What do they teach you in schools these days?"

Ah, I am SO EXCITED about the Christmas special. Also, waiting to watch the mini-sodes til I actually buy the box set later this week...which possibly makes no sense, but there you go.

ALSO, I just saw your last entry and jaskldjgas that video of Connie Willis and Neil Gaiman. I haven't even watched it yet and I'm already convinced it's the greatest thing ever.

I have all the feelings over the Christmas Special. After Night Terrors and the monsters in the closet, we have the forest in the wardrobe. o/ I love this so much.

Re: the video, IT IS. IT REALLY IS. That's just. Two of my favourite writers being besties and snarky and. ♥ They're fantastic, fabulous bastards.

ADSJFKLAJSDF EVERYTHING FOREVER.

TARDIS dream team, right here. It's like they can't not be awesome. And oh man, can't wait for Christmas, NARNIA. Makes one wonder what book they'll do next year, if they stay with the pattern.

Baaawwww, River.

IKR. OH MAN. There's apparently a fifth one, but the YT episodes have been (mostly) deleted, and you have to go through dl. D:

But yes, they're perfect. They were perfect. I'm a little sad to let Amy and Rory go — they were easily my favourite couple in nu!Who — but I realize that we need a new companion, at least.

NARNIA. SO MUCH EXCITEMENT.

Auugh, I can't find it anywhere. CARROT ON A STICK DENIED.

I'm trying to think of other classic Christmas books, just trying to guess what they'll do next year, and I'm a bit distressed that I can't actually think of anything. Ooh! How the Grinch Stole Christmas? That would be rather perfect for Doctor Who.

ASADGFDJKL I WANT A PRESENT THE SAME COLOR AS THE TARDIS THAT TAKES ME TO NARNIA.

Now even the MU links are being dropped left, right, and centre. :/

There was once that wonderful story by [livejournal.com profile] sam_storyteller about the Doctor dropping in with the Magi, except the Magi were really alien and the star wasn't really a star and somehow there was Jack Harkness somewhere being Joseph or something — it was amazing. Man, I need to find that again. Ever since I first read it I wanted to see it as a Christmas Special. So.

"That's not a phone box, it's my... wardrobe." OH DOCTOR YOU SORT OF SET THIS UP FOR YOURSELF, YOU SOD. And! Yes! TARDIS!blue wrapping-paper! :D do wanttttt.

I guess I'll have to wait for Netflix to get the DVDs D: THOUGH OOOOOH, THEY HAVE A VERY PRETTY NEW PICTURE FOR THE LISTING.

I'm going to tell everyone that I want all my presents wrapped in TARDIS blue this year.

The bad thing about living in France is that the shipping is expensive as hell; so no DW DVDs for me just yet. But I got Tintin earlier, aha.

:D I'm drawing little TARDISes everywhere on my notes these days.

Really? Even though the UK's just right over there?

Oh man, I was actually starting to get a little worried because there's been absolutely no advertising for Tintin that I've seen, then it turns out that the hotel my dad is staying at next time he goes out of town is holding a Tintin-themed sweepstakes. Grand prize is a family trip to Europe. "Should I stay here?" "ASDFHLKJKLDSA YES."

Yeah. It's weird. Our postal system is rather horrible.

Ahaha, there's a lot of Tintin-related advertising here really — the supermarket I go to has this big game thing going on; plus the old 'collect such-and-such products, we'll give you miniatures of Tintin/Haddock/Milou/etc' kind of deal. My dad actually wants to collect 'em all. :D

Jealousy. I just want to see a trailer in theaters at this point, to get a hint of what the 3D's like.
