So, uh, the good news is that I've passed all of my exams, despite my accidentally not having sat for two of them — which I guess is pretty cool? and I won't have to sit for them in September, which is definitely cool. But I'm taken in Master year, possibly to work a memoir on Sherlock Holmes text-to-screen adaptations, with a focus on the Holmes/Watson relationship, which, ahah, is way beyond being just cool by this point. 

Speaking of cool.

 

AND THEN RORY MOTHERFUCKING POND PUNCHES HITLER IN THE FACE. 

And River with an eyepatch, and Craig, and are you going to kiss me? and Weeping Angels! and Winston Churchill, and a set that looks vaguely like Alice in Wonderland, and someone who looks disturbingly like Ten, and possibly Incas? Moffat, you sly, sly tease.

I'm pretty interested in the something has happened to Time comment, especially since we seem to be revisiting a lot of season 5 — there's Craig and Churchill and the Weeping Angels, and I seem to remember a cast list somewhere featuring mini!Rory and mini!Amy. It would be something if the season went on a full rewind-forward time loop to end all time loops. (And then moved on to something else, because time loops are so yesterday.)

And. Oh. I'll be in England on August 27th. I wonder if I can drag my folks to a fish&chips pub and watch it on telly.

(I love these days a few weeks before the show begins anew, and everything is impatience and speculation and the first images leaking. It always makes my heart go ba-bump; it's fucking glorious.)

Re: something has happened to time, yes. Especially since that one bit looks like old!Amy, like Amy with old makeup on. And oh man, now all my crazy thoughts about how River and Eyepatch Lady seem similar feel totally justified. There is a secret time loopy thing there maybe? River IS Eyepatch, and is only being evil because that's how time stays stable? IDEK. (Maybe Eyepatch is River's younger sister, and she's jealous of River being River so she decides to timey-wimey with River's childhood, thus leading to River's awesomeness in the first place and OH GOD MY BRAIN?)

I think they're gonna kill Rory though... (shot'd XD)

OH KAT. I KEPT THINKING OF YOU WHILE WATCHING THE TRAILER AND GOING SHE IS GOING TO FREAK OUT ON ME, I CAN SEE IT AND OH MY GOD, KAT. HOW AMAZING WAS THIS.

Old!Amy is creeping the fuck out of me. Are we going to have young!Amy, normal!Amy and old!Amy together, do you think? plus River? this is going to be so fantastic, I can't even. As for eyepatch!River, I'm rather conflicted — part of me thinks it's too obvious, part of me thinks it'd be fucking awesome if she's been lying about who she was all this time. Just imagine — she's been checking in on her birth. I mean. I mean what.

Trying to comprehend what Moffat would do is a brain explosion waiting to happen. He doesn't do expected things, he does crazy insane things, so we expect crazy insane and dismiss the obvious out of hand, to the point where doing the expected would be doing the crazy insane. And adfdsjklnfd, all things ever need to hurry the hell up and get broadcasted. Doctor Who and Sherlock and Elisabeth Sladen's swan song and I know I shouldn't but I really want to know what happens next in Merlin and KAITO KID and everything ever.
