Sa', I love you, but if you laugh at that one I'm going to have to kill you.

So, yesterday? right after I (did) finish my Lit. essay, thank lord that's over... my laptop crashed. (... what. It's only the fifth time in two years. Barely.) I've lost pretty much everything that was in it, except the few tidbits I'd saved, like, five months ago... everything else, including about 2,000 pictures and about as many pieces of writing, fanfiction and fiction alike, are gone. It's gone back to virgin-state. It's working, but I've had to re-install it all. 

The worst of it all is, I've also lost something like 20,000-words-worth of my own writing. And everything I've done so far on Homespun. (So, right, it wasn't much, and a good part of it is written out on paper, okay. But it's so frustrating.)

DO YOU HATE ME, GOD. I WOULD'VE LIKED TO GET THE MEMO.


Saaaaa', will you please return to the world of the living and get me some glompage, thx.

But let me tell give you a little advice.....*whispers* come come, sit near me I won't bite I swear. Make yourself comfortable while I tell you something that will open your eyes....and while this little advice may sound like magic to your ears I can assure you that it's quite real for many people have heard about it and even used it.........it's called...................






..........A BACK UP!!!! *bonks head* Next time, make sure you ALWAYS have a back up of all the info in your laptop, which in your case is a must do!!! *sighs* So careless....

... Oh my God, I am so sorry. It crashed again? Dear sweet crepes. Is there any way to salvage more of your stuff, or did a professional say that it's a no go?

I suggest from now on that you save things either on the internet or on an external harddrive as a backup. Fanfics can be stuck in Gmail documents, I believe, and photobucket can probably take a lot of fanart.

Oh! Oh! I have an idea! Let's have a competition to see who can break their technology the most!

In all honesty, WOW THAT SUCKS. Can I heartily recommend a flash drive or several, and/or an external harddrive on which to back things up? And then do so like twice a day? (There's nothing that stops one from playing with fire quite like getting burned several dozen times.)

Besides, look on the bright side. At least you still have your essay. You do, right?

Oh no you poor thing, laptops don't seem to like you much, do they? Was it you who got soy sauce on your laptop the other time, or am I confusing you for someone else?

Ehhh now I'm paranoid about my laptop.. maybe I should save all my stuff on a hard drive or something.. and gosh, 2000 photos?!?!??! i would probably cry if that happened to me... T.T
