Nah, that's basic H/C stuff, don't worry. There are lots of fans who like to have their favourite characters get hurt. And of course bottoming doesn't mean you can't be in control — mostly I meant that fans have written Holmes/Watson, in that order, for so long, that the Sherlock fanbase seems bent on reversing the trend a bit. Still, though, there's stuff for everyone out there.
I dabbled a bit in xxxHolic, yeah. It was still, man, quite a few years ago. TBH, I really don't care much if it's slash or het — I like genderbending characters so they're femslash too — I just enjoy their dynamics. Concerning Sherlock, my interpretation of Sherlock himself is that he's mostly asexual, which gives yet another curve to a romantic relationship with John. It's interesting.
Sure. It's in beta right now.
I can't see that movie until next month, sadly, unless I manage to find an alternative before then, but the spoilers sound... well. Interesting? Explosive. Very very gay. It sounds like fun! I don't like the Ritchie!verse quite as much as I do the canon!verse or the bbc!verse, but that subportion of the fandom is very nice and friendly, and there's been quite a lot of fantastic stuff written there, which makes up for the movies being a bit average.
