and then you stole me. and i stole you.

 Ahahahahaha, oh my god.

SO MUCH WIN IN THIS EPISODE. Neil Gaiman, you are a genius. Also a master of creepy — the patchwork Auntie&Uncle, oh my god, and Rory's pseudo-death kept me awake for something like half the night. (Rory, please stop dying. It's like. The fifth time.)

But the TARDIS/Doctor relationship and banter and old married couple vibe is one of the most wonderful things I've seen on this show — and this episode coming right after my little OTP!gush two days ago made me LOL — and overall it took what was generally an utterly creepy episode à la Blink and turned it into something else. Something real. The writing is beautiful.

  • 'did you really think i ever intended to give you back?'
  • 'do fish have fingers?'
  • 'the line at the bottom, what does it say?' 'pull to open.' 'and what do you do?' 'i push!'
  • 'i said you were the most beautiful thing i'd ever seen.'
  • 'what's your name?' 'seven hundred years, he finally asks.' 'but what do i call you?' 'i think you call me... sexy.' 'only when we're alone!'
  • 'bitting's excellent. it's like kissing, except there's a winner.'
  • 'are all people like this?' 'like what?' 'so much bigger on the inside?'

tl;dr:

'hello. hello, doctor. it's so very nice to meet you.'
